Fun & Fabulous Friday

What a wonderful day!  I love it when I get right up in the morning and set to task...it just makes the day go much smoother.  I don't know why, but I can be quite pessimistic about going to the grocery store;  I'll put it off until I can't put it off any longer.  Today, I went early.  When I go early, I beat the Friday crowd!  Plus I got the bank deposit made and graduation cards mailed...what a sense of accomplishment.  And I topped the day off by completing the latest sketch challenge from Creative Scrappers...whew!

My take is somewhat different, but I really like the way it turned out.
Supplies:

Other: vintage crochet thread and punched butterflies

I revamped my Photobucket today too.  I made separate folders for Layouts, Dot & Whimsy Creations and later I will add ones for Cards, Altered Projects and The Red Robin.  Since most design team calls ask for an online Gallery, I figured what better time to get mine updated!
I will be hosting a **GIVE-A-WAY** by drawing names from those who leave a comment on my blog...more info coming soon!
If you are a customer from Dot & Whimsy or The Red Robin, be sure to check back and leave a comment on the Give-A-Way thread...you won't be disappointed :)
Have a FABULOUS Friday evening and WONDERFUL weekend!

Beautiful Birthday Shaker Card

Hello and welcome to my contribution to the  SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES and HERO ARTS BLOG HOP

For my project, I have chosen to make this cute shaker birthday card!

Before we get started on the detail, here is a list of supplies that I've used: From Scrapbook Adhesives: Keepsakes Envelope Mix (I used 4" X 3.5") Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/4 in, Dual Tip Glue Pen, Crafty Foam Tape Black and the E-Z Runner Grand Refillable Dispenser with E-Z Runner Grand Permanent Dots Refill.  From Hero Arts: Dress Up Stamp and Cut and Kelly's Flags Stamp & Cut
To begin, I added a few star sequins directly to the sticky part of the Keepsake Envelope.
Next I sprinkled some round sequins inside of the pocket.
I used the Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/4" to close up the pocket.
I cut a piece of patterned paper the same size as the pocket and mounted it to the sticky back of the pocket.
After die-cutting the dress bottom from patterned paper, it was pleated along the score lines and then…
