Vanderpump Rules fans were shocked to learn that Tom Schwartz once shared a kiss with Scheana Shay despite him being in a relationship with Katie Maloney at the time.

Word of the kiss emerged during a recent episode of Vanderpump Rules, angering Maloney, 37, who went on to marry - and then divorce - Schwartz after the lip lock. 

But Schwartz has insisted the smooch was nothing to write home about.   

During an appearance on E! News, Schwartz, 41, rated the kiss a 'five' and branded it 'weird.'  

'It was, like, so platonic. I’d give it a five,' he said. 'It was weird!'

Schwartz revealed his kiss with Shay, 38, on an episode of Vanderpump Rules last month.

The star made the kissing revelation when he went out for smoothies with Lala Kent, 33, and they discussed the fallout of Tom Sandoval , 41, having an affair.

'I think I have post-Sandoval brain fog,' Schwartz said. 'When I see what Tom did compared to what we've all done, I think everyone's cheated in some way, right?'

'Yeah, of course,' Lala said.

'I made out with Scheana like 12 years ago in Vegas,' Schwartz said.

'So Scheana has dabbled in the group a bit,' Lala said. 'Does Katie know?'

Schwartz said he never told her. 

Later, Katie went over to Lala's house. Lala told Katie about her ex-husband Schwartz saying he made out with Scheana years ago in Las Vegas.

'What?' Katie asked.

'I don't love that they kept that for so long,' Lala said.

Katie pulled Scheana and asked her about making out with Schwartz in Vegas. Scheana said that Schwartz simply made an attempt to kiss her.

'Can I tell you who I was making out with on that trip, Ariana,' Scheana said.

Katie didn't understand why she never told her. Scheana said she didn't want to hurt her.

'I wish I would have known,' Katie said.

Schwartz and Maloney married in 2016 and divorced in 2022.

Schwatz had a relationship with Jo Wenberg after the split and is now dating Sophia Skoro, a 23-year-old college grad.

The two addressed their relationship during an appearance on The Viall Files, where asked Nick Viall asked Sophia if they were official.

They said that they were 'almost' there as Sophia explained: 'I just want to be in the most perfect place. I like to be very, at ease.'

Tom admitted that he doesn't want to 'put pressure' on the recent college grad who is nearly two decades his junior as he added: 'We enjoy our time together.'

Though they are not officially a couple the two definitely have some kind of commitment to one another as Sophia was asked if they have dropped the L-word to which Sophia responded that they 'definitely love each other.'
