June Bug

Happy one-day-closer-to-the-weekend day!
I'm just getting to all of the goodies that I've shared this month over at
So, I thought a "June Bug" post would be appropriate :)

"My Sweet Trio" Layout is a take on this Page Map sketch by Becky Fleck.
All papers are from the Fruit Stand Collection

The entire design team picked a different sketch to use, so be sure to check out the blog!

Originally a "father's day" themed card, but I think that it could be used for any dad-day-occasion :)
All papers are from the Stars & Stripes Collection

Sydnee gave this card to one of her teachers at the end of the school year.
This was made for Doodlebug's "Summer Inspiration" segment using the Fruit Stand Collection.

And Doodlebug isn't just for fun girl's stuff, we have a masculine side too!
Here I used Boys Only Collection, along with DB cardstock and Take Note.

Things are getting in high gear for the Create 'N Connect show in Las Vegas next month
(formerly CHA).  I'll be knee-deep in booth projects so you may not 'see' too much of me between
now and then.  I can't wait to share with you all of the fabulous new things coming this
Fall and Winter...yep, it's all ready time to start thinking about those Autumn and Christmas items :)
If you're coming to the show, I hope to meet you!
I will be working in the Pink Paislee booth at some time and will also be visiting the other
manufacturers that I'm currently designing for:
Authentique, Bella Blvd, Doodlebug Designs and Simple Stories
(Little Yellow Bicycle will not be attending the Summer show...I know, I'm sad too!)
I plan on posting as many photos as I can possibly load to Instagram, so be sure to follow!

As always, thanks for visiting me today!

Beautiful Birthday Shaker Card

Hello and welcome to my contribution to the  SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES and HERO ARTS BLOG HOP

For my project, I have chosen to make this cute shaker birthday card!

Before we get started on the detail, here is a list of supplies that I've used: From Scrapbook Adhesives: Keepsakes Envelope Mix (I used 4" X 3.5") Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/4 in, Dual Tip Glue Pen, Crafty Foam Tape Black and the E-Z Runner Grand Refillable Dispenser with E-Z Runner Grand Permanent Dots Refill.  From Hero Arts: Dress Up Stamp and Cut and Kelly's Flags Stamp & Cut
To begin, I added a few star sequins directly to the sticky part of the Keepsake Envelope.
Next I sprinkled some round sequins inside of the pocket.
I used the Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/4" to close up the pocket.
I cut a piece of patterned paper the same size as the pocket and mounted it to the sticky back of the pocket.
After die-cutting the dress bottom from patterned paper, it was pleated along the score lines and then…
