BEIJING, March 26 (Xinhua) -- China has decided to launch a law dissemination campaign intended for women in rural areas, in a bid to raise their law awareness and offer legal services to those in need, according to an official statement on Tuesday.
A circular jointly released by Chinese authorities, including the All-China Women's Federation and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, made arrangements for this campaign aimed at women in rural areas, as well as their offspring and families.
Related activities will be held concerning aspects such as safeguarding women's rights and interests and protection of minors, according to the circular, adding that the campaign will be carried out nationwide, with the country's underdeveloped western regions enjoying primary focus.
The circular asked local authorities to take advantage of the campaign to offer convenient, quality and efficient legal services to rural women, particularly those living in remote farming and pastoral areas.
